Laura Besterfeldt is an artist who specializes in metal work living in Salt Lake City, Utah. She studied sculpture in Chicago, jewelry manufacturing and design in NYC, and precious stones in Italy. This is her first solo show at the Kayo Gallery.

A snap shot of our bodiesÖ.one that will last forever and that will be more revealing than what the eye is able to first captureÖ.taking something ìgoldenî and turning it into sterling silverÖ.we are all beautifulÖ.everyone of us has skin prints that are one of a kind. That is what this show is all about. It is also my response to the mass production of jewelry that is all too similar. It is my opportunity to evoke changeÖplease feel free to explore each piece as they are all one of a kind and different on every side. I have also chosen to take this unique opportunity to give a portion of proceeds to ìThe Quality of Lifeî program, a FREE yoga program offered to cancer survivors at centered city yoga.
